Practice is more than a field of application.
Many research questions arise in technical projects, in conversations with apprentices and students, in teaching, in professional discussions — and in situations under time pressure and responsibility.
Teaching is a research space
Teaching makes learning processes observable: Where do misunderstandings arise? When do people feel confident? When do they hesitate despite solid knowledge? What lasts — and what can be applied later?
Why IT?
IT changes fast. Technologies and tools come and go. So the more interesting question is not what knowledge people currently hold, but how they handle new situations and make decisions when no known solution exists.
What good teaching means to me
I am glad when people say: "Now I understand this." What matters even more is: "I was able to use this in my project."
