Profile
I combine professional IT practice, teaching and empirical research. This page summarises the foundation this combination rests on.

My professional work is in network engineering, where I also hold responsibility for vocational training. Alongside this, I teach in advanced vocational education and in higher education, and serve as an examiner and reviewer.
My research connects digital IT education, technology acceptance, learning transfer and cognitive load with the question of how technical knowledge becomes applicable under realistic conditions.

The method follows the question. That is why I work both quantitatively and qualitatively — and state openly where the limits of each approach lie.
